Education Improvement Scholarship Tax Credit (EISTC)

This program offers donors to scholarship programs a 65% Virginia tax credit for their donations. Follow the steps below to take advantage of this tax credit and help us to make Christian Education available to more in our community. Suffolk Christian Academy (SCA) works with childrenstuitionfund.org (CTF) to provide this benefit to the donors.

1. Obtains blank Preauthorization Request form and Letter of Intent; Brings them to the SCA office to send the completed documents to CTF.
2. CTF files the Preauthorization Request electronically with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). Through Child Tuition Fund
3. VDOE Reserves tax credits and mails a numbered Approval Letter to the Donor.
4. Signs the numbered Approval Letter and sends to CTF with the donation within 180 days.
5. CTF Sends signed Approval Letter & proof of donation to VDOE; sends acknowledgement letter to Donor.
6. VDOE Sends the Tax Credit certificate to the Donor.
